LIKE many businesses across Ipswich, the past few years have been a tough slog for the Ipswich Turf Club due to forced closures caused by the COVID pandemic.
But with restrictions eased and the major upgrades to its corporate and stable areas now complete, the club is optimistic more will return trackside to enjoy their racing and events firsthand.
The club has now completed a $25 million upgrade that includes a new events centre, horse stalls, forecourt and more, with the venue now offering full services for an array of activities.
Ipswich Turf Club CEO, Tim Dunn, said the upgrades had been an exciting time for staff and patrons alike.
“The new development has reinvented the Turf Club and has provided the community and greater region with an impressive facility,” Mr Dunn said.
“Now incorporating the Ipswich Events and Entertainment Centre the venue can host many more functions from festivals, weddings, and corporate entertainment.
“From major events to family dining at The Barn Family Restaurant, the Club is able to engage with not only the local community but the wider corporate population.
“We have gained much support and praise for the events we have hosted, and even more satisfying is receiving the positive feedback from clients.”
