Seniors line up for 2023

U3A Ipswich and West Moreton is now accepting new membership applications from seniors and retirees who are invited to attend the annual Open Day on Tuesday, January 17.

The Open Day will run from 9am till 11 noon at the Glebe Road Uniting Church Booval. and showcases the wide range of interesting classes, physical activities and stimulating social meetings offered free of charge to members.

New members will get to meet and chat with tutors at Open Day.

Membership, which costs $80 a year, entitles members to attend, at no extra cost, as many courses or subjects as they wish, with courses offered on every day of the week, bar Sunday, throughout the school terms.

Courses on offer, all tutored by knowledgeable, experienced and often qualified volunteer tutors, include art, card games, computers, current affairs, exercise, many languages, guitar basics, history, line dancing, philosophy, photography, science, writing, yoga – and more.

President Ian Muil said U3A Ipswich and West Moreton now had more than 40 volunteer teachers and tutors with many holding professional or accredited qualifications.
